The Pilot Test
While we are fundraising for a used shuttle bus, we’ve created a safe and creative space for the pilot test.
The Artmobile will provide mobile art making experiences and education in Franklinton and Hilltop, giving neighborhood youth access to the multifaceted world of art.
The Artmobile Is Coming To Your Neighborhood!
Art educators and professional artists will provide sessions twice daily and in the morning and afternoon in pre-selected locations. We supply all the art supplies and materials, art instruction and a healthy snacks and beverages. Our capacity is up 15 art fans for a 2.5 hours session.
Our goal is to enrich the lives of 400 youth ages 7-11 living in Franklinton and Hilltop. We will provide sessions twice per day: morning and early afternoon in each neighborhood. A nutritious snack will be provided.
The program is staffed with caring art professionals who love the community and want to make a difference. We employ art educators, artists and neighborhood volunteers to ensure high quality programming.
Our pilot test utilizes an exclusively designed curriculum “Explore, Make, Share Art” encompassing foundational skills that are practical and well supported by arts education research. Additionally, the curriculum is based on skills needed to be successful in today’s 21st century workplace.
